What is Unconditional?

We get asked quite a bit what is the mission of Unconditional. Are we trying to shut down clubs? Are we trying to get women to quit their jobs? What are we trying to do? Unconditional’s mission is to unconditionally love women working in the adult entertainment industry with the love of Jesus Christ, to empower and encourage them on their journey, and equip them for a full and healthy life. We are not here to rescue anyone.  Jesus already did that. (John 3:16) We are here to introduce women to Jesus, and the rest is just details.  We are here to walk alongside our friends from the club. We are here to listen, to build friendships, and not to judge. So what does that look like? It looks like building relationships by going to two strip clubs in Indianapolis. Why wait for people to come to us, when Jesus came for us? It looks like handing out a free gift, which represents Christ’s free gift to us.  It looks like those relationships turning into deep friendships, like family. It looks like celebrating with our friends during triumphs, and mourning with them during losses (Romans 12:15).  It looks like praying with women for the first time in their life. It is letting them know that God takes our mess, and redeems us. It is telling women in the adult entertainment industry that God does not hate them, but loves them passionately.   It looks like throwing baby showers, going to birthday parties, going to funerals, getting coffee together, bible studies, prayer, having dinner, laughing together, crying together. It looks like love. This is why we exist. Because every time we go into a club, and someone asks why we are there, they are shocked to hear we are Christians, and that we are not there to judge them but simply to love.  Because Christ calls us to love our neighbor as ourselves, and to make disciples of all people and background. We will walk alongside our friends whether they are working in a club for one day or ten years. We are here for the good, the bad, and the ugly.  Because God loves us, so we love others. (1 John...
